New opportunity to share the love of Jesus
It’s exciting to get to know so many young families, those at church on a Sunday morning, those who come to Footsteps messy church, the toddler groups, Foresters fun, Springfield family friends and neighbours. It’s a privilege to be part of many committed teams who serve the children and family ministries. Ever since I heard about Missional communities I have been wondering and praying about how we can encourage our families at church and build community with one another and all those we know in the community. A Missional community is a group of people, about the size of an extended family, who are united through Christian community around a common service and witness to a particular neighbourhood or network of relationships. In my case this has meant me looking at the opportunity to reach out to yo9ung families with the love of Jesus.
If you share a passion to see young families grow in the love of Jesus and to reach out to others, whether you have a young family, or not, would you come and explore what a Missional community for young families could be and look like? There are already quite a number of people who have said that they would like to be part of this. I have booked the Youth Zone in the Phoenix centre from 1pm on Sunday 22nd March. It’s a great space, with plenty of space for adults and children to meet together and find out more. Bring a sandwich after church….drinks provided.
