We meet every Sunday at 10.30am at St. Paul's Church, Roundshaw and on our YouTube channel

All through Christ

We’re really excited to be starting a new series of talks based on the book of Philippians, focussing on one of Paul’s most encouraging letters.

At the start of the letter, Paul is in chains, Epaphroditus has brought a financial gift from the Philippians and Paul is writing to encourage them to stand strong in the face of persecution and opposition. But not just a stable and inert ‘standing strong’, but a joy-filled exuberant, hope-empowered steadfastness because Christ is the great gain we are striving for.

It’s about staying the course. Not just ‘Christ helps me get through my life’, but ‘Christ is so central to my life that his strength infuses all things so that I can live a life that endures through suffering, especially opposition which is brought about BECAUSE I am constantly stepping out in faith.’
