Clay Jars

Wednesday Evenings from 7.30pm – 9.30 pm

Leaders Maddie Fowkes-Smith and Maggie Barnard

We are a group of women at different stages in life who meet together to worship God, to grow in faith, support one another and reach out into the wider community with God’s love.

Our name was inspired by 2 Corinthians 4v7: “But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us.”

Our aim is to be a place of restoration, where we can be honest , a place of encouragement where we can support and be supported, a place of learning where we can grow, a place of safety where we can be challenged to step out of our comfort zones, a place of connection, where we can work together to shine God’s light into our broken world and a place where we can laugh and enjoy each other’s company on the journey.

We support the work of Sutton Women’s Aid through our annual quiz night and in coordinating gifts from the wider congregation at Harvest and Christmas.

If you are interested in coming to see us, please contact us via the church office or the welcome desk.
