ROCK

Tuesday mornings from 10.30am-12 noonReaching out with Care and Kindness (ROCK) is a group of ‘young at heart’ adults who meet each week on Tuesday mornings. We are warm, fun loving and we journey together in our walk with Jesus, learning more about Him through our Bible studies, listening to some of our favourite worship songs and sharing our thoughts and ideas through lively discussions. We support the charity RUSH UK and enjoy our fund raising carvery lunches when we invite friends and family to join us to hear updates on the work of RUSH in Kenya. One Tuesday per month we join the Caring Cupcakes team , either at Ashby Grange or Abbeyfield, where we chat with the residents, drink tea and coffee and, more importantly, eat delicious homemade cakes which have been made by the Cupcakes bakers. These mornings are very much appreciated by all the residents who have become friends over the years. Some of us can also be found on Monday mornings at Café Connect, our community outreach at Wallington Library Café, where we drink coffee, chat and engage with the wider community.Should you feel like joining us or want to know a little more about us, please do speak to Melanie Jeffery, Ann Nicholls or Jean Silvester.Categories: Small Groups
