Don’t Worry – Out of the Cave

Part 2 of our Don’t Worry series. This week, Jon explores the battle against depression, anxiety and worry using Elijah in 1 Kings 19 as an example to us.

God loves CREATION

We finish our series on “God Loves” looking at creation and how we look after it with a talk from Pete Grieg

God loves REST

God loves Rest! He rested after creation (Genesis 2.1-3), He commands us to rest (Exodus 20.8-11) and He made rest for us (Mark 2.23-28). When we feel the burden of life we can still find rest (Matthew 11:28-29), when we feel overwhelmed, Jehovah Jireh, God is enough.

God Loves COMMUNITY

David continues our God loves… series of talks using Matthew 4 to look at community and what this might mean for us in practice

God loves RIGHTEOUSNESS

God loves righteousness (Psalm 33.5) and Nick explores how Romans 5.12-6.2 reveals what that means for us.

God loves CHEERFUL GIVERS

God loves a cheerful giver (2 Corinthians 9.7). Jesus talks about money a lot (!) and in Luke 12.13-21 warns of how a wrong view of money can lead us into trouble. The answer is to be Rich Towards God – having a mindset of stewards not owners. Click to view our giving page

God loves JUSTICE

We’re discovering the heart of God, what He loves. Isaiah 61.8 says that God loves JUSTICE. Jon looks at a particular aspect of justice, racial discrimination, and in Acts 6.1-7 we see how the early church deals with it and the radical steps needed to see God’s Kingdom come in this area.

God Loves YOU

Our new sermon series starts today called “God loves… ” where we look to re-establish firm foundations as we seek to discover the heart of God. David starts today with Romans 5, looking at how we can be sure that God loves us.
